Grandma advises Alma to have some fun, so she finds herself a date and bags a job at Leanne’s – neither of which go to plan. Maybe Alma’s fine as she is.

Reunited with her extended family for the funeral of her great-grandmother, Alma realises that her eccentric Boltonian family is what makes her unique.

Alma has been dreaming of meeting her long-lost father since she was a little girl. When she finally tracks him down, can he live up to the man she’s always dreamt of?

Joan has more shocking news. She writes a bucket list and demands Alma and Lin help her to complete it. They take an unforgettable trip to Blackpool.

Alma decides to channel Erin Brockovich to help her mum get out of a legal pickle she’s found herself in. Jim encourages Alma to start writing again.
