The Daily Show Season 31 Episode 88
July 16, 2026 - Jake Johnson
Michael Kosta breaks down the latest D.C. headlines: Trump's teleprompter operator allegedly made $100K betting on the president's speeches, Pete Hegseth rolls out testosterone tests for America's warriors, and JD Vance redefines "helicopter parent." Plus, the VP seems oddly fascinated by the way Joe Biden eats ice cream. In Sports War, Desi Lydic and Kosta clash over FIFA Men's World Cup stories, from Spain's Lamine Yamal facing an Argentina player who once bathed him to a Norway fan refusing to row along and Senegal's team doctor turning out to be a gynecologist. Actor and producer Jake Johnson joins Kosta to discuss his new Apple TV comedy film, "The Dink," including tennis's obsession with legs, his improv roots, the absurd advice on his podcast "We're Here to Help," and raising daughters who, sadly, root for the Dodgers.
