The Daily Show Season 31 Episode 108
September 29, 2026 - Marlon James
Trump’s taxpayer-funded ad has liberals fuming, while Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders releases an ad so white it even has conservatives talking DEI. Jordan Klepper breaks down the controversy and highlights the Trump administration’s latest announcements, including online passport applications and an America.gov AI chatbot that can supposedly help you remember your Social Security number. He also chats with the star of Sanders’s ad, Brad (Grace Kuhlenschmidt). As America marks its 250th birthday, Jordan enlists Michael Kosta for America 250: In Memoriam to honor notable Americans we've lost along the way. Booker Prize-winning author Marlon James joins Klepper to discuss his new novel, The Disappearers, his childhood in Jamaica, hiding his sexuality by "disappearing," his use of violence and sex in fiction, and literature’s role in preserving the stories of people often erased from history.
